Man, I never read Thomas Friedman too much in the Times because he rarely just grabs me. Nothing to do with politics, but he’s not as interesting to me as Krugman (he with one of the greatest gifts at explaining economics issues), Herbert (who I just absolutely dig), and Dowd (she who I just can’t figure out). But with this one, Friedman got crunker than anyone has about this situation.
I don’t mean crunker than any newspaper person. I mean crunker than anyone I’ve met on a street or anyone that writes a blog I read. He’s saying what I’ve said to many in private company–the handling of this storm might put Bush down with Harding and Hoover in the history of American presidents.
Which is to say going down as the Worst. President. Ever.
