  We have always whispered about the "fix" being in in the NBA. Conspiracies abounded about the Draft and the shipping of those picks to the East Coast... About The Jordan years.. About getting LBJ in the Finals and avoiding a Detroit SA rematch... I laughed all those off... and now THIS? WOOOOOOOOW everyone worried about the players andthe REFEREES are crooked.... Maybe they need a dress code.

  Commissioner Stern needs to pull an ackrite. Needless to say this is no good. But why do I feel like the NBA dress code story got more press. I mean so much was made up of trying to "clean up" the NBA's image and blah blah blah. I know that that British Open is going on, but this gambling story got all of one day on the espn.com from page. All of the talk shows (Rome, PTI, Around the Horn) talked at length about how the dress code was good and how the players needed to look professional and all that crap. I just hope those commentators take the Stern administration to task with this story. AI rockin a sweatsuit at a press conference never damaged the integrity of the game.
