I’m not sure how many are familiar anyone is with Tanzanian history, but Ambassador Paul Bomani is ill after a brain hemmorhage. Check his site for some background information on him. The site’s a bit crude, but it’s still informative.
I was told this by his granddaughter, and that leads to an interesting story…

You may have noticed that my first name and the Ambassador’s last name are the same. That’s purely coincidental. My name means Mighty Warrior in a couple of West African languages.
But through the power of Google, his granddaughter found my site while searching my last name. She’s good peoples, so best of luck to her in dealing with her grandfather’s illness.
Just put that up to illustrate the power of the Internet. But considering that Bomani ran with Julius Nyrere, one of post-colonial Africa’s most significant figures, I figured this information was worth sharing.
Plus, it ain’t likely you’ll find this in the Times.
