If you were going to be anxious about the election, that time has passed. If you were going to be anxious, it would be while voting was going on. That would be when something was actually changing, when there was something to be done.
Now, they’re just counting votes. Watch the stuff if you want to, but nothing is going to change. The election, praise whoever-you-deem-holy, is over. Now, just chill out. Drink if you need to.
But this is no more foolish than sweating when the prof is handing back exams. The test has been passed or flunked. Nothing left to do but go to work tomorrow morning.
I hope that last sentence is true.
