So, I’m here on another lazy Saturday night, and I came across this report that Puffy just had his child support payments cut to nearly $22,000 per month.
I don’t have kids, so I don’t know just how much it takes to raise one, but do kids really need that much help?
But more importantly, since when did kids earn the right to be rich?
Yep, Puff is ballin’ out of control, and he’s earned the right to do so. By all accounts, he got where he is by being the hardest working man in show business not names James Mu’Fuckin Brown. I think all that jewelry and absurdly expensive liquor is silly, but he can do what he wants, I guess.
His kids, however, aren’t entitled all of that. Kids aren’t rich. Kids are broke. They are entitled to three squares, a room, some threads, etc. The decision to give them more than that is a matter of parental discretion. For real, what the hell does a kid need $264,000 for? For real, I think the five grand a month he originally offered to pay was a smidge much.
Look, I know enough folks that have raised multiple kids on twenty grand a year to make me just laugh at a ruling like that. Not twenty grand of support. I mean twenty grand of wages. It ain’t the best way to go, but it works. If that can work, twenty grand plus a month? Nigga please.
I wouldn’t care if he was in the same house as his kid–children don’t have the right to be rich. Kids shouldn’t get used to all that expensive shit. ‘Tis possible that might not be there all the time. Sorry, but even if I get a Bentley–and I never will–my kids are going get reasonable facsimiles of the 1989 Toyota Corolla that I drove in high school as their first cars. Threads? They don’t need all that fancy stuff, man. Plus, white t-shirts will never go out of style. Platinum chain? Please. And kids can’t even drink Cristal…twenty grand a month?!?!?!?
Get it yo’ damn self. I’m a big proponent of that one. If Puff’s old old lady thinks the kid deserves all of that, that’s fine. That’s what trust funds are for.
So is he bankrolling the kid or her? Take a wild guess. Damn shame that child support can be babymama alimony, ain’t it?
Kobe should read this. Take his time and think it through. Cuz the next time I write it might be about dude.
