Those of you that know me from before the site know that, last year, I did pieces on a bundle of songs for Africana’s “Song of the Day” feature. Well, some of those have been revived–and I have contributed seven new ones for this year–and will run during June, Black Music Month. Either way, my look at Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come” is up today, so please check it out. From there, AOL users can register to have the Song of the Day e-mailed to them. Keep reading to find out what songs might come up.
Asterisks indicate those I remember being very fond of personally, and I don’t normally like my stuff usually until years later.

These things are easily my favorite things to write in this world. Music with perspective on history, politics, and economics…man, it gets no better to me. So be on the lookout.
For those on the list, which you can get on by dropping me an e-mail, I apologize for the double posting. I’ll try not to let that happen again.
